Step 1: Sign up for Gamma

I started by going to gamma.app and selecting “Start for Free” on the top right.

Step 2: Create a New Gamma

After signing up and creating an account, I was taken to my Gammas. This was where I could create new Gammas (manually or with AI), import content, and explore example Gammas.

I selected “Create New” (with AI) at the top.

Step 3: Generate with AI

Gamma presented me with a couple of options for how I could start generating with AI:

I selected “Generate.”

Step 4: Generate a Presentation

Next, Gamma asked me what I wanted to generate:

I chose “Presentation.”

Step 5: Adjust Your Settings

Below that were some settings:

• The number of cards I wanted to generate
  • Free plan: 1-10 cards
  • Paid plan: Up to 75 cards
• Card design
  • Classic: Manually editable cards
  • Studio: Every card is fixed with an image, but can be edited with AI
• Card size
  • Default (Fluid)
  • Traditional (16:9)
  • Tail (4:3)
• Choose from 60+ languages

I kept everything on default (10 cards, Classic, Default, and English)

Step 6: Describe or Choose a Prompt

Next, I could manually describe what I wanted Gamma to make. Rather than doing that, I was given six example prompts. If I didn’t like any of them, I could shuffle for new ones.

“The best and worst slang gen Z” interested me the most, so that’s the one I selected.

Step 7: Generate an Outline

Once the prompt was populated in the field, I hit “Generate outline.”

Step 8: Edit the Outline

Overall, my outline looked good. I could easily edit the cards directly and move them wherever I wanted by clicking and dragging.

Below that, I could customize my Gamma:

I decided to try editing with AI on one of the cards. This opened a small window where I could enter a prompt describing how I would like the AI to edit the card.

Otherwise, I could select one of the options for switching up the layout, improving the writing, and making it more visual. I selected “Try new layout” to see what Gamma’s AI would come up with.

Within seconds, Gamma generated five new layouts of the card. To be honest, I liked the original the best, but I appreciated having the options.

Once I was happy with everything, I could present directly from Gamma by selecting “Present” in the top right.
