Kiran Kotla is the Co-founder and CEO of Dista, a global cross-border commerce platform empowering Indian brands to sell directly to customers worldwide. Built to simplify the operational, compliance and payments challenges of international D2C, Dista has quickly become the go-to infrastructure for brands looking to scale globally without friction.
With a background in deep tech and infrastructure, Kiran began his career as an early engineer at two successful unicorn startups: Insieme Networks (acquired by Cisco) and Innovium (acquired by Marvell), where he built software from the OS kernel up through platform to application layers. His experience spans Linux systems, cloud networking, distributed systems, SDK development, and everything from video codecs to mobile apps.
Kiran holds degrees from BITS Pilani and Texas A&M University and brings a systems-level mindset to global commerce. At Dista, he’s applying that expertise to solve the "hard stuff" behind cross-border ecommerce, from FDA compliance and customs duties to multi-currency checkout and returns logistics. His mission is simple: make global selling as seamless as domestic shipping.
