In a strategic move to address the growing demands for advanced AI infrastructure, GMI Cloud, a Silicon Valley-based GPU cloud provider, has raised $82 million in Series A funding. Led by Headline Asia and supported by notable partners like Banpu Next and Wistron Corporation, this round brings GMI’s total capital to over $93 million. The funds will enable GMI Cloud to open a new data center in Colorado, enhancing its capacity to serve North America and solidifying its position as a leading AI-native cloud provider.
Founded to democratize access to advanced AI infrastructure, GMI Cloud’s mission is to simplify AI deployment worldwide. The company offers a vertically integrated platform combining top-tier hardware with robust software solutions, ensuring businesses can build, deploy, and scale AI with efficiency and ease.
GMI Cloud’s platform provides a complete ecosystem for AI projects, integrating advanced GPU infrastructure, a proprietary resource orchestration system, and tools to manage and deploy models. This comprehensive solution eliminates many traditional infrastructure challenges:
GMI Cloud’s Colorado data center represents a critical step in its expansion, providing low-latency, high-availability infrastructure to meet the rising demands of North American clients. This new hub complements GMI’s existing global data centers, which have established a strong presence in Taiwan and other key regions, allowing for rapid deployment across markets.
GMI Cloud, a member of the NVIDIA Partner Network, integrates NVIDIA’s cutting-edge GPUs, including the NVIDIA H100. This collaboration ensures clients have access to powerful computing capabilities tailored to handle complex AI and ML workloads, maximizing performance, and security for high-demand applications.
The NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPU, built on the NVIDIA Hopper architecture, provides top-tier performance, scalability, and security for diverse workloads. It is optimized for AI applications, accelerating large language models (LLMs) by up to 30 times. Additionally, the H100 features a dedicated Transformer Engine, specifically designed to handle trillion-parameter models, making it ideal for conversational AI and other intensive machine learning tasks.
With an eye on the future, GMI Cloud is establishing itself as a foundational platform for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). By providing early access to advanced GPUs and seamless orchestration tools, GMI Cloud empowers businesses of all sizes to deploy scalable AI solutions quickly. This focus on accessibility and innovation is central to GMI’s mission of supporting a rapidly evolving AI landscape, ensuring that businesses worldwide can adopt and scale AI technology efficiently.
Backed by a team with deep expertise in AI, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure, GMI Cloud is creating an accessible pathway for companies looking to leverage AI for transformative growth.
