Liam Houghton is the Founder and CEO of Popsa, the technology company helping millions of people turn their digital memories into beautifully designed physical photo products.
Houghton began teaching himself how to design and code as a teenager, experimenting from his bedroom and discovering the creative power of technology. Those early skills sparked a fascination with how digital tools could help people express emotion, tell stories and share meaningful experiences.
He later studied architecture, where he developed a deeper understanding of design as a way to shape how people feel and interact with the world. Influenced by the idea that great architecture goes beyond functionality to create pleasure, meaning and emotional resonance, Houghton carried this philosophy into product design.
In 2016, he founded Popsa with the ambition of giving everyday people their own “creative superpowers”. Under his leadership, the company has built intuitive technology that allows anyone to transform their photos into thoughtfully designed photo books, prints and keepsakes—without needing creative training or technical expertise.
Houghton created Popsa to remove the barriers that traditionally made memory-keeping tools feel complex or inaccessible. By combining design, automation and artificial intelligence, the platform simplifies the process so users can focus on reliving moments rather than learning software.
Today, his mission is to democratise creativity—empowering people everywhere to reconnect with their memories and turn them into meaningful physical artefacts with confidence and pride.
