Dr. Christopher Seifert is Head of Software Product at InnerPlant, where he leads the company’s data and machine learning systems. He joined InnerPlant after building products and platforms across nearly every layer of the agricultural data stack, with experience spanning satellite remote sensing, geospatial analytics, farm management software, and seed and agronomy data infrastructure. His background includes leadership roles at Granular and Corteva Agriscience, earlier work at Google and The Climate Corporation, and research experience at NASA and the Stanford Program on Food Security and the Environment. He also co-founded and served as CEO of AcreValue, a farmland valuation platform acquired by Granular. This breadth gives him a clear view into where agricultural AI has worked, where it has struggled to deliver in the field, and what it takes to run reliable, production-grade systems in agriculture. He holds a PhD in Earth System Science as well as an MS and BS in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
