Beep Closes Series B Led by Mobileye to Scale Autonomous Mobility

Beep, Inc., a provider of autonomous mobility solutions based in Lake Nona, Florida, announced on September 9, 2026, that it has closed a Series B funding round led by Mobileye, with participation from existing investors. Beep said the round brings its total capital raised to approximately $130 million.

The company said the new capital will help scale and expand its mobility-as-a-service offerings, deepen its work with technology and public-sector partners, and continue deployment of its AI-driven AutonomOS platform. Beep describes AutonomOS as drawing on its years of expertise as an autonomous vehicle operator to reduce the complexity required for managing and orchestrating Physical AI networks in transportation.

Mobileye’s Investment and Executive Statements

Mobileye, which the announcement describes as a global leader in autonomous vehicle technology and advanced driver-assistance systems, has been working closely with Beep on autonomous vehicle deployment projects, according to Kobi Ohayon, Mobileye’s chief operations officer. “Beep plays an essential role in the emerging AV ecosystem across the United States, and its deployment platform will become increasingly important as more AV services come to market across vehicle types and business models,” Ohayon said in the Series B announcement.

According to the announcement, Mobileye’s investment reflects a shared strategic vision for bringing a range of autonomous mobility models, from fixed-route services to on-demand microtransit, to commercial scale in the United States in response to clear customer demand. Kevin Reid, Beep’s chief executive and chairman, said the Mobileye-led round, supported by longstanding investor partners, positions Beep to fulfill its vision, and said the investment allows the company to build out and broaden its shared autonomous mobility offerings. Beep described the round as both a financial milestone and a validation of its role as a transit partner delivering real-world autonomous service operations.

Earlier Funding and Jacksonville Operations

In its NAVI launch announcement, dated July 1, 2025, Beep said it had begun operating the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s NAVI service, which the company described as the nation’s first fully autonomous public transportation system. The service is backed by a five-year operations-and-maintenance contract within the authority’s Ultimate Urban Circulator program.

In the first phase of that program, Beep operates and maintains a fleet of 14 electric, autonomous Ford E-Transit vehicles integrated with Oxa’s automated driving system along the Bay Street Innovation Corridor, a 3.5-mile route in downtown Jacksonville with 12 stops running from the Central Business Core to the Sports and Entertainment District. The vehicles are described in the release as Buy America and ADA compliant.

The same release disclosed the closing of $52.7 million in a funding round co-led by Intel Capital and Blue Lagoon Capital, financing Beep said brought its total capital raised to $97.7 million at the time and would be used to expand further into key markets. The company also said it had managed 38 autonomous shuttle deployments across nine states as of that announcement, and that chairman Kevin Reid would succeed Joe Moye as chief executive.

2026 Partnerships and Deployments

On April 22, 2026, MOIA America, an autonomous mobility technology company within the Volkswagen Group, and Beep announced a strategic partnership centered on introducing autonomous mobility for public transit operators in multiple U.S. markets over the next decade, beginning in Orlando. Under the arrangement, MOIA America will provide purpose-built, autonomous-ready ID. Buzz vehicles equipped with the self-driving system developed by Mobileye, along with a mobility-as-a-service software platform and operator training.

The partners said they plan to scale a fleet of up to 5,000 autonomous ID. Buzz vehicles in partnership with cities, municipalities, public transportation agencies, communities, and large campuses. Validation testing of the vehicles has started in the Lake Nona community with onboard human operators supervising the initial testing and launch phases, and the partners said initial rides were expected to begin in 2026.

In the ATL Spoke announcement, dated June 10, 2026, Beep said the autonomous transit pilot it deployed in partnership with Atlanta Beltline was in service and open to the public, describing it as the first autonomous public transit in the City of Atlanta. The service runs four Karsan Autonomous e-JEST vehicles equipped with ADASTEC’s SAE Level 4 flowride.ai automated driving platform, supervised through Beep’s AutonomOS system, which provides vehicle and cabin supervision, fleet orchestration, and integrated workflow management from Beep’s operations control center. The 12-month pilot, funded by the Georgia Transportation Efficiency Authority, will evaluate how autonomous transit can support flexible, cost-effective neighborhood circulation while complementing existing MARTA service.
