Waymo Integrates Ramp to Automate Expense Reporting for Business Rides

In a From the road post dated October 28, 2026, Waymo announced that Waymo for Business is integrated with finance platform Ramp. Waymo said the integration is intended to make it easier for organizations and their employees to manage expenses when using its fully autonomous ride-hailing service.
Under the integration, when an employee rides with Waymo, the ride receipt is automatically connected to Ramp and matched with the corresponding charge, eliminating the need to find, upload, and attach the receipt manually. For businesses already using Ramp, Waymo said, the connection provides an easier way to incorporate Waymo into work travel while simplifying the expense process for employees. Waymo said Waymo for Business has offered 24/7 reliability and convenience directly to organizations for more than a year, and it directed organizations interested in activating the integration to contact the Waymo for Business team through its dedicated integration page.
Integration Features Documented by Ramp
Ramp’s own integration listing, filed under its receipt-automation category, introduces the tie-up with the line “Autonomous finance meets autonomous vehicles.” The listing highlights three functions: charging rides to a Ramp card on business trips, matching Waymo receipts to card charges automatically, and viewing a team’s ride spend in real time.
According to Ramp’s app description, the integration generates receipts for Waymo for Business rides that automatically match the corresponding Ramp transaction, and every business trip produces audit-compliant PDF receipts attached directly to Ramp. Riders can toggle between Ramp and personal cards within Waymo so payments go to the right card, and administrators maintain oversight of active integrations through real-time status indicators. Setup is handled from the Waymo for Business portal settings, and Ramp states that no Ramp plan is required to use the integration.
Ramp identifies itself as the developer of the integration and states that data accessed through it is governed by its Platform Agreement and Integration Terms. The company lists security certifications for the Ramp application including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOC 1 and 2 Type II.
Setup Path and Target Organizations
Waymo’s integration page describes the connection as automated expense reconciliation, whether an organization manages hundreds of corporate travelers or needs a single ride to a client presentation. The page’s sign-up form asks organizations for their size, with options running from 0 to 50 employees up to more than 5,000, their intended use, selecting from Events or Vouchers, a Commute Program, or Corporate Travel, and their city, with Nashville appearing among the listed options.
The Waymo for Business Program
Waymo introduced Waymo for Business in September 2025 after what it described as successful pilots with a variety of organizations, and it invited employers, universities, and event organizers to sign up for the fully autonomous ride-hailing program. In that launch announcement, Waymo reported serving over a million trips every month and said nearly 1 in 6 of its local riders in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix relied on the service to commute to work or school, a group it said spans early-morning commuters as well as students, shift workers, and healthcare staff who need a ride home late at night.
The launch post said the program’s enterprise-grade tools include a business portal to set program parameters and manage users, customizable promo codes to manage rides for events, and reporting tools to track budgets and monitor ride activity. It featured a quote from Carvana, identified as one of Waymo’s existing clients. At launch, Waymo said partnering with the program could help organizations provide a premium experience, advance sustainability targets through its fully electric fleet, and expand mobility access for people who cannot drive or do not have access to a vehicle.
The current Waymo for Business product page presents commuter programs, events transportation, and corporate travel as core offerings, with use cases covering commutes, business travel, and courtesy and event rides, and it describes a business portal for managing members, generating event codes, and tracking everything from budget to program engagement. The page lists availability in Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, Phoenix, and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Organizations looking to bring the integration to their teams can contact the Waymo for Business team to sign up or activate Ramp.
