Siemens and Salesforce Combine Agentforce With Teamcenter SLM

Salesforce and Siemens announced a new chapter in their partnership on September 15, 2026, at Dreamforce in San Francisco, combining Salesforce’s Agentforce platform with Siemens’ Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) software. The announcement also detailed a Siemens deployment of Agentforce that, according to Salesforce, qualifies every inbound lead for Siemens’ 18,000 sellers, and it outlined planned automation for partner onboarding.
Teamcenter and Agentforce Integration
According to the announcement, the combined offering is designed to help industrial companies operate as agentic enterprises at scale by putting engineering-grade answers directly into sales, service, and customer workflows. Questions that previously had to go back to engineering can be answered in seconds inside the customer workflow, the companies said.
The announcement described three scenarios for the agent-to-agent connection: a service technician can identify the right spare parts for a specific serial number before the first site visit; a sales representative can quote only those upgrades that are technically valid and manufacturable; and a customer can find and order the right part without waiting for an engineer or calling a hotline.
Marc Benioff, chair and CEO of Salesforce, said Siemens and Salesforce are demonstrating what it means to become an agentic enterprise at industrial scale, and he described the collaboration as a blueprint for the AI era that goes beyond connecting technology.
Roland Busch, president and CEO of Siemens AG, said the partnership closes a long-standing separation between the engineer’s expert knowledge and the person servicing a machine in the field. “By embedding our digital twin into the commercial workflow, we are putting a virtual engineer in the hands of service technicians and salespersons,” Busch said in the joint announcement. Siemens contributes industrial AI and Salesforce contributes enterprise AI, he said, describing the combination as a critical building block for an industrial AI operating system that connects engineering, operations, and business.
The release described the impact of the agent-to-agent connection for manufacturers as immediate, stating that compressing processes from weeks to hours enables faster service, more reliable quoting, and new opportunities to grow aftermarket revenue. Citing industry analysis, the announcement said aftermarket business grows around six times faster and carries roughly four times the margin of new equipment sales. By connecting what the release called product truth with customer context, it said, manufacturers can move beyond one-time equipment sales toward deeper customer relationships and predictive, performance-based service models.
Inbound Lead-Qualification Deployment
Siemens has also deployed Agentforce to modernize its inbound sales development with AI agents. Before the deployment, the company — a technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, mobility, and healthcare — received more than 2,500 unqualified leads a month and had no way of knowing which ones were worth sellers’ time, according to the announcement.
Under the deployment, leads flow into Sales Cloud, where two AI agents work in tandem: an engagement agent reaches out to incoming leads and moves interested prospects to a qualification agent, which vets each one before handing the strongest opportunities to the appropriate seller. The engagement agent uses CRM data to personalize email outreach, and each email contains a secure public key that identifies the lead without exposing the internal record ID. When a prospect follows the qualification link, that key lets the qualification agent retrieve the sales record, confirm or add information, and save details such as budget and timeline needs as the conversation progresses.
Salesforce said Siemens engages 100% of these inbound leads across 132 countries, converting inbound interest into productive sales conversations and revenue growth. The company added that the deployment gives customers greater flexibility in how they buy through AIforce, which it describes as a trusted enterprise AI harness that brings Salesforce’s data, workflows, business logic, actions, and governance into every agentic interface.
Planned Partner-Onboarding Automation
The announcement also outlined planned automation for Siemens’ global partner ecosystem. Under the existing process described in the release, prospective distributors search the company’s site, fill out an intake form, and wait for further outreach. Salesforce said an AI sales development representative agent called Piper will eliminate that wait by building a personalized pitch on the spot and booking qualified partners directly with a partner account manager.
Once a partner signs on, an employee will hand the new supplier off to Slackbot, which will orchestrate onboarding behind the scenes by running certification, financial, and risk checks and surfacing decisions in Slack, according to the announcement. Agentforce Operations, powered by Regrello, will handle the final onboarding steps in SAP with no human clicks required. Salesforce said supplier onboarding will be orchestrated end-to-end, simplifying the process from weeks to days.
