RC Mowers Will Debut New Autonomous Mower, Accessories at Equip Expo

RC Mowers announced on October 15, 2026 that it will unveil a completely new autonomous commercial mower platform at Equip Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, alongside an all-season accessory lineup that takes its remote-controlled slope mowers beyond mowing for the first time.
The unveiling is set for Booth No. 7056 during the show’s run from October 20-23, 2026. Dealers and reporters get a first look at the new mowing and grounds solutions during the Indoor Trade Show Dealer & Media Preview from 9 a.m. to noon on October 21, 2026, with the products unveiled to all attendees beginning at noon that day.
The company said the new products will expand what RC Mowers equipment can accomplish in the field and introduce customers to both efficiency improvements and new lines of revenue for their businesses.
CEO Statements and Product Rationale
“We’re bringing two major innovations to Equip: an all-new autonomous mower and new ways to put our slope machines to work beyond mowing,” RC Mowers CEO Michael Brandt said in the company’s announcement. Brandt said customers need equipment that delivers value every day, describing goals of covering more ground with fewer people, maximizing their investment, and keeping machines working throughout more of the year.
The announcement frames the products against what the company describes as some of the biggest challenges facing commercial landscapers and public works departments: labor shortages, rising operating costs, and increasing demands on grounds maintenance crews. It said contractors and municipalities need equipment that helps them accomplish more with the resources they already have.
According to the announcement, the new autonomous mower platform will help commercial crews cover more ground by increasing productivity and freeing up employees to focus on higher-value tasks. The company also plans to expand the capabilities of its R-Series remote-controlled slope mowers, which it said creates opportunities for contractors to offer additional services, generate new revenue, and put their equipment to work throughout the year.
The company said it developed the new product line by drawing on field research and firsthand insight into the challenges contractors and public works crews encounter every day. Brandt said the products grew out of conversations with customers about what was slowing their crews down, where their equipment was falling short, and what would help them take on more work, and that the company took those challenges back to its team in search of practical solutions.
The Existing A-60 and R-Series Lines
RC Mowers currently sells two product categories, Autonomous Mowing Robots and Remote-Operated Robotic Mowers, built for public agencies, landscaping contractors, and commercial properties rather than residential users. Its machines are designed, engineered, and built in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The company’s existing autonomous model is the A-60 Autonomous Mowing Robot, built around a Kawasaki FX730V 23.5 HP engine and a 60-inch commercial-grade cutting deck, with a listed mow rate of 1.5–2.5 acres per hour and a top forward speed of 8 mph with an on-board operator. According to the product page, one operator can manage up to three of the autonomous mowers at once using GPS and RTK mapping with reusable mow plans, while the Simple Mow interface stores each site’s layout for repeat jobs. The machine carries a $199 monthly connection and data fee, with the first year included with purchase.
The product page describes a safety package that includes LiDAR-based obstacle detection with 360-degree visibility, automatic stops when people, animals, or vehicles approach, and a handheld Remote Stop that powers down every mower in the field with a single button push.
The R-Series remote-operated line that the new accessories extend currently comprises two models, the R-52 and R-60: the R-52 pairs a Vanguard 37 HP EFI engine with a 52-inch cutting width, and the R-60 pairs a Vanguard 40 HP EFI engine with a 60-inch cutting width. The product page rates both machines for slopes up to 50 degrees without a winch and for remote control from up to 1,000 feet away through a handheld joystick controller with an integrated camera system. It currently lists two available accessories for the line, a winch kit and a light kit, alongside applications that include steep slopes, retention ponds, roadside embankments, wetlands, and fire mitigation zones.
Equip Expo 2026 Schedule
The announcement describes Equip Expo as one of North America’s largest trade shows for outdoor power equipment, landscape, and hardscape professionals. The 2026 event is expected to feature more than 1,100 exhibits, 30 acres of outdoor demonstrations, and thousands of products for landscape contractors, dealers, and other industry professionals, according to the company. The event begins October 20, 2026 with a welcome reception at Churchill Downs, followed by the trade show from October 21-23, 2026 at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
