Brandon Richman is Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Surge Networks, an Infrastructure as a Service platform for physical AI built on a federated ownership model that anchors edge compute, sensing, and last mile wireless infrastructure in the communities where it operates. He is also Principal at Next Wave Partners, a thesis driven venture studio focused on intelligent infrastructure and climate infrastructure, where he originates, structures, and incubates early stage ventures alongside founders.

An energy economist and infrastructure strategist by training, Brandon has spent nearly two decades at the intersection of power markets, large scale infrastructure development, and emerging technology. His earlier work includes Director of Renewable Projects and Sustainability at Diode Ventures, where he evaluated assets ranging from utility scale renewables and data centers to plasma arc waste to energy, biogas, and small modular nuclear reactors, and a tenured run at Black & Veatch spanning load forecasting, supply and demand balancing, financial modeling, and regional business development across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. He holds an MS in Environmental Policy and Management with an emphasis in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Denver, an MA and BA in Economics, and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Missouri Kansas City.
