Anthropic Expands Claude Startups Program With New Founder Benefits

Anthropic on October 6, 2026 expanded its Claude Startups program, adding a collection of third-party partner offers worth up to $45,000 that it calls the Claude Startup Stack, alongside $1,000 in API credits, a free year of Claude Team, and office hours with its Applied AI team.
According to the Claude Startups program page, approved founders receive $1,000 in Claude API credits, one year of Claude Team free for up to five Premium seats, and access to discounts and credits worth up to $45,000 from participating companies. The free Team year applies only to organizations new to Claude Team. “We’re expanding the Claude Startups program to help startups grow,” the page states.
The Claude Startup Stack
The Stack lists offers from companies building with Claude across Build, Design, Analyze, and Grow categories, and members redeem each offer with a code in the Claude Console. According to the page, the Stack benefits come from independent third-party companies, not from Anthropic.
Listed offers include 20% off a first year of Attention with a seven-day free trial; $100 in Cosmos credits from Augment Code; $5,000 in ClickHouse Cloud credits; and 12 months of ElevenLabs free plus 33 million characters. Also listed are 20% off Emergent for the first six months; Firecrawl at 2.5 times a plan’s monthly credits for a year; 25% off a first year of Gamma Pro annual; and three months of Granola Business free for up to 10 seats.
The program page also showcases startups building on Claude, including Lovable, Legora, Harvey, Cognition, Hex, Rogo, Cursor, Glean, Granola, Factory, and Decagon.
A new Claude Startups Additional Benefits Addendum, effective October 6, 2026, governs the Stack, the office hours, and promotional credits. The addendum states that Anthropic does not create, fund, administer, or guarantee Stack benefits and is not a party to any transaction between a member and a provider; each offer is governed by the provider’s own terms, and listing a provider is not a recommendation or endorsement. Unless a provider states otherwise, each Stack benefit may be redeemed once per member, is non-transferable, and carries no cash value. The addendum describes Applied AI advisory services, including prompt engineering optimization and architecture review, as consultative only, with members retaining sole responsibility for their products, systems, and decisions.
Eligibility, Credits, and Application Review
Startups founded in the last five years or funded in the last two can apply with a Claude Console account, a company email matching their website domain, and a short description of what they are building. Venture funding is not required: the program is open to bootstrapped, pre-seed, and venture-backed startups. Anthropic said founders backed by a venture firm in its partner network can receive up to $100,000 in additional API credits, claimed through their investor, and that members who receive credits automatically get higher API rate limits.
The $1,000 credits expire six months after they are granted and apply only to the first-party Claude API through Claude Console; they cannot be used on AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, or other third-party platforms. Existing program members do not need to reapply and are now eligible to redeem the offers in the console.
Most applications are decided within minutes, Anthropic said, with the rest going to a manual review that usually takes two to three business days; applicants receive an email when there is a decision. Applied AI office hours are 45-minute live sessions held every other week, and accepted members receive a registration link by email and in the Claude Startups portal.
The program’s official terms, last updated May 22, 2025, exclude applicants established or operating in Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Crimea, and the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as those barred from participating under U.S. or other applicable laws or export controls. Anthropic evaluates applications on factors including business traction, investment and funding, and Claude integration and usage; it selects participants on a rolling basis and determines eligibility in its sole discretion. The terms place sole responsibility for any tax obligations tied to the API credits on the recipient.
Founder House San Francisco
Beyond credits and offers, members can join Claude Startup events including Founder House, Founder Days, Builder Days, hackathons, and community meetups. The program page features Claude Founder House San Francisco, Anthropic’s three-day startup event during SF Tech Week, running October 6–8, 2026 at Terra Gallery, 511 Harrison St. The event page describes a two-floor warehouse venue with a coworking café open all day, talks, workshops, and bookable Applied AI office hours.
The October 6 agenda includes a women-in-startups brunch hosted by Anthropic Head of Startups Beth Robertson and a panel on raising a next round with investors from Lightspeed, Sequoia, and ICONIQ. The event closes October 8 with a Founder Salon: opening remarks from Robertson, a fireside between Acquired co-host David Rosenthal and Anthropic Labs head Mike Krieger, a research session on Claude’s model family with Chief Science Officer Jared Kaplan, and live founder demos with audience voting.
