Amazon’s Bee Introduces Frontier, Eclipse, and a Pro Subscription

Amazon’s Bee unit introduced two AI wearables: the $74.99 Bee Frontier, on sale now through Amazon, and the $99.99 Bee Eclipse, listed as coming soon. The devices arrive alongside Bee Pro, a new subscription tier priced at $11.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
On Bee’s homepage, the Frontier is marked new and the Eclipse is marked coming soon. Bee describes the Frontier as wearable AI that converts conversations into clear takeaways, summaries, insights, and to-dos, and the Eclipse as ambient personal AI that processes both sides of every phone call and in-person conversation, turning them into summaries, insights, and action items.
Bee joined Amazon in 2025. In a January 5, 2026 post on Amazon’s news site, co-founder Maria de Lourdes Zollo wrote that the team had since shipped Actions, Daily Insights, and Voice Notes, with Templates planned to deliver summaries tailored to specific settings, and that the device processes conversations in real time without storing audio.
Bee Frontier
The Bee Frontier product page lists the device at $74.99 with a Buy on Amazon option and Amazon Prime delivery eligibility. It is a small unit worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, and the box contains the device, a wristband, a clip, and a start guide. Color options shown are black, lilac, and moss.
A single action button handles controls: one press starts and stops capture with a green LED indicator, a long press creates a voice note, and a double press bookmarks a moment. The device carries dual microphones with noise filtering, supports 40+ languages, is rated IP67 for water resistance, and charges through a rear USB-C port. Bee lists battery life at up to 7 days, or 160 hours. By default the microphones turn off after a period of silence, with a configurable window ranging from 5 minutes to 24 hours. The feature list also cites on-device processing, personalization over time, and a companion app for iOS and Android.
Bee Eclipse
The Bee Eclipse product page states the device will be available for $99.99 and links to an Amazon.com listing; Bee’s homepage marks it coming soon. The Eclipse is a credit-card-shaped unit 4.6mm thin that attaches magnetically to the back of a phone and is MagSafe compatible, with a metal ring accessory included for the phone or case. Color options shown are yellow, black, silver, and pink.
When activated through the same start-and-stop control, the Eclipse processes both sides of phone calls as well as in-person conversations, producing summaries, action items, insights, and suggested to-dos. A specification diagram labels four microphones, an action button with a white LED, and a USB-C port on the bottom. Bee lists 3-week battery life, which it describes as industry-leading. The Eclipse uses the same press gestures as the Frontier and the same silence-based auto-off.
Bee Pro Subscription
Every new Bee device includes 30 days of Bee Pro; after that, the subscription costs $11.99 per month or $99.99 per year, and Bee states the annual plan saves over 30% compared with paying monthly. The free tier covers conversation processing, conversation summaries, and 14 days of history. Pro adds unlimited history, daily summaries, Bee for Desktop on Mac or Windows (including saving calls from Zoom and other apps), conversation templates, suggested to-dos, insights and patterns, and integrations with Outlook, Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Health, Alexa, and Amazon.com. Both product pages note that select features require a Bee Pro subscription.
On Bee’s homepage, the Mail integration is described as finding what is important in email and suggesting follow-ups, Calendar as showing continuity in daily activities, Photos as adding context tied to location and moments, and Health as adding context to health data and patterns. The Alexa integration answers questions such as “What are my Bee insights from yesterday?” and “What are my Bee to-dos?”
Customers who purchased a Bee Pioneer before October 15, 2026 keep the feature set they already had for free, according to the Bee Pro FAQ, while new features such as Bee for Desktop roll out under Bee Pro. Bee states it is launching a subscription because the AI services behind the product — real-time processing, continuous learning, and privacy infrastructure — cost money to run and improve.
For the Amazon.com integration, Bee states the assistant “uses insights from your life to suggest shopping items you might need.” The Bee Pro page says more integrations are on the way.
Security Design
Both product pages state that conversations are encrypted with keys only the user controls, that not even Amazon can access the data unless the user chooses to share it, and that audio is processed in memory and immediately deleted. The pages describe all generative AI processing as running inside Amazon’s isolated environment with no external providers, cite Sigstore public ledgers for independent integrity checks, and state that the system delivers sub-100ms latency with 99.99% availability. Users can delete their data and revoke permissions at any time.
A September 23, 2026 post detailing Bee Private Compute says the device transcribes audio in real time and discards it without saving, encrypts transcripts and insights with keys the device itself creates, and verifies that Amazon servers are running approved software before sharing anything. The system builds on the AWS Nitro System and its NitroTPM module, and the post points to a third-party audit by security research firm Trail of Bits alongside a technical white paper. The same post introduced Sign-in with Amazon for new Bee customers, with existing customers keeping their Apple or Google sign-in; Bee states the Amazon account is used to sign in and does not give Amazon access to private Bee data.
