Realbotix Renames Its Echo Humanoid Platform as Series 1

Realbotix announced on November 4, 2026 that its recently launched flagship humanoid robot platform, Echo, had been renamed Realbotix Series 1. The revision applies only to the product name; the robots, specifications, prices, production plans, character options and ordering process remain unchanged.
The company framed the change as a way to avoid trademark concerns and place its flagship commercial humanoid products directly under the Realbotix brand. It follows the platform’s October 26, 2026 launch as Echo, making this a rebranding of an existing product line rather than a separate robot introduction.
Chief executive Andrew Kiguel said the Series 1 name aligns the products with the brand’s recognition for lifelike robots. “These are not remote-operated machines. They think, decide, and interact independently, with their own personalities, on-device intelligence, and the ability to respond in real time.”
Two Hardware Configurations
The Series 1 line retains two models. The $11,950 Tabletop is a desktop companion with 17 degrees of freedom, weighing approximately 25 pounds and measuring 13 by 13 by 32 inches. Its face and neck use Realbotix’s proprietary silicone-based synthetic skin. The Tabletop is intended for one-on-one education, therapy and personal wellness.
The $59,950 Full Body model has a full humanoid form, fluid upper-body movement and 39 degrees of freedom. It weighs approximately 88 pounds and measures 28 by 28 by 72 inches in its female version or 28 by 28 by 77 inches in its male version. On this model, the synthetic skin covers the face, neck and arms from the elbows down, including the hands and fingers.
Both models sit within a modular platform designed for companionship, education and wellness. Customers can choose from Aria, Mila, Dave and Amar, four characters that differ in personality, voice and interaction style.
AI Software and Optional Vinci Vision
Realbotix says every model supports more than 100 languages and responds in the language used to address it. Built-in speakers in the chest cavity provide audio, and both models support native integration with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Operating either robot requires a monthly Realbotix Robot Configuration App subscription, with tiers starting at $19.99.
The optional Vinci upgrade combines computer vision and on-device AI. Realbotix says it handles conversations and visual understanding entirely through local processing with sub-second latency. Its listed capabilities include biometric facial recognition, recognition of emotional cues, gaze tracking, and spatial and temporal awareness.
Production and Reservation Terms
The company’s initial production plan remains limited to 225 Tabletop units and 25 Full Body units, with delivery scheduled for the second half of 2027. Those figures, the delivery window and the ordering terms match the October launch announcement. A $199 deposit reserves priority delivery from the first production run through Realbotix’s product website, while organizations interested in 10 or more units can contact the company for volume pricing.
For buyers, the announcement changes the label on the robots without changing the underlying commitment: a reservation deposit, a required software subscription and delivery tied to the second half of 2027. The substantive test for Series 1 remains whether Realbotix completes that limited first run and delivers the multilingual, independently responsive interaction it describes.
