Invesco Ltd. announced on October 27, 2026 that it is working with Anthropic to make its portfolio intelligence and practice management resources available through Claude for Financial Advisors, using a new Invesco connector. The firm said the connector will provide a toolkit that helps advisors strengthen their businesses and client relationships.

John McDonough, Head of Americas Distribution at Invesco, framed the work around the advisor-client relationship. “Leading technology should strengthen the value advisors bring to their clients and create more opportunities for personalized interactions,” McDonough said in the company’s release. He said pairing Invesco’s model portfolios with its practice management support is intended to help advisors turn efficient access to Invesco’s expertise into more meaningful client conversations, stronger practices, and deeper client relationships.

Clint Harris, Global Head of Solutions & Custom Strategies at Invesco, said the Claude connectivity rollout will give advisors already using the firm’s models greater access to its portfolio intelligence in their daily workflows, with the flexibility to work with purpose-built portfolios or custom models developed jointly with Invesco. He said custom solutions can meet advisors’ evolving needs for deeper partnerships and create ways to interact with clients that help advisors grow their businesses.

Model Portfolios, Custom Strategies, and Referrals

Advisors using Invesco’s Model Portfolios will be able to access portfolio information directly through Claude, and Invesco said the connection adds time for problem-solving supported by its proprietary practice management research. The release describes the firm’s portfolio optimization resources as a combination of analytical tools, market and economic insights, and investment expertise aimed at helping advisors construct portfolios aligned with each client’s broader wealth plan and objectives.

Invesco Solutions & Custom Strategies offers model portfolios with active, passive, factor-based, and tax-aware approaches. Advisors can implement ready-made portfolios or work with Invesco to develop custom models aligned with a firm’s asset allocation, manager, and investment preferences. Customizable separately managed accounts address individual client needs, including taxes, concentrated positions, preferences, and restrictions.

Advisors who use the connector will also have access to Invesco’s research-based referrals program, which the firm said provides personalized scripts and more integrated business development support.

The Invesco models are overseen by the Invesco Investment Solutions and Custom Strategies team, part of Invesco Advisers, Inc., an investment adviser that provides advisory services to individual and institutional clients and does not sell securities. Invesco Advisers is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Invesco Ltd., which reported $2.5 trillion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026 and serves clients in more than 120 countries.

Anthropic’s Claude for Financial Advisors Launch

The connector extends Claude for Financial Advisors, which Anthropic released on September 14, 2026 as a suite of connectors and workflow skills designed for the research, preparation, and documentation tasks that occupy an advisor’s time. Anthropic’s launch article listed Invesco among its connector partners at launch, saying the Invesco for Advisors connector brings portfolio intelligence and practice management insights into Claude.

The launch roster spans CRM, custody, portfolio reporting, financial planning, estate planning, and meeting tools, with named participants including Charles Schwab, BlackRock, Vanguard, Franklin Templeton, Addepar, and Envestnet. Those join connectors already available in Claude, among them Microsoft 365, Salesforce, DocuSign, Box, S&P Global, and Morningstar.

Anthropic said the suite’s skills support specific moments in an advisor’s day, including pre-meeting preparation, portfolio rebalance review, post-meeting notes and follow-up, prospect intake, and estate and tax briefs. A compliance skill screens client-facing language against the SEC Marketing Rule to flag potential issues and helps firms document review activities. Investment recommendations, client communications, compliance determinations, and other regulated activities remain subject to human review and approval, according to Anthropic.

Anthropic recommends its Enterprise plan for registered investment advisers because it includes audit logs that support recordkeeping. Explaining the product’s rationale, Anthropic’s article cited Kitces research finding that a typical advisory practice spends only a sixth of its time in client meetings, along with EBRI’s 2026 Retirement Confidence Survey, in which over four in 10 American workers said they do not know who to go to for good financial or retirement planning advice.

Invesco’s release attached explicit limits to the connector’s use. The Invesco Connector for Claude for Financial Advisors provides information for educational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice or a recommendation, the release states, and Invesco does not provide tax advice. It cautions that AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, are not recommendations by Invesco, and must be independently reviewed before use rather than relied upon as the sole basis for investment decisions.
