Clueso Raises $10M Series A to Automate Business Video Creation and Updates

A software tutorial can become outdated the moment a product team ships a new interface. Recording its replacement is only part of the work: someone still has to explain the change, write a script, produce narration and repeat the process across a growing content library. Clueso is betting that AI agents can take on more of that production cycle.
The company announced a $10 million Series A on October 13, led by Dharana Capital. Founders Future and Neotribe Ventures joined as new investors, alongside continued participation from Y Combinator and f7 Ventures. Clueso says the round brings its total funding to $12 million, with existing investors supplying more than 80% of the new capital.
The financing supports a broader move from AI-assisted editing toward agents that understand a company’s software, capture real workflows and help maintain the resulting videos. For businesses, that makes the announcement as much about keeping information current as making content faster.
Business video has a maintenance problem
Clueso says more than 1,000 companies use its platform, including Atlassian, Zendesk, Gainsight, GlobalPartners, Seismic and Ironclad. Its target uses span customer education, employee onboarding, marketing, sales enablement and internal operations.
Those teams face a different production challenge from a creator generating a standalone clip. A training video must show the correct buttons, describe the right sequence and reflect the version employees or customers actually use. Changes to a dashboard or approval process can make an otherwise polished tutorial misleading.
The company reports that teams have achieved productivity improvements of more than fivefold and reduced video production costs by 80%. These are reported customer outcomes in the announcement, rather than results from an independently controlled comparison. The release does not provide a methodology for applying those figures across different organizations.
Clueso was founded by Akash Anand, Prajwal Prakash and Neel Balar. Anand, its co-founder and CEO, describes the company’s expansion from product tutorials into video work across departments. Its Y Combinator profile places the startup in the Winter 2023 batch, providing context for a business that began with instructional videos and documentation before expanding the scope of its automation.
How the agent captures and produces a video
According to the announcement, Clueso’s computer agents can navigate real software, perform a workflow and capture the footage needed to demonstrate it. The platform then handles scripting, voiceovers, motion graphics, captions and editing, while retaining a browser-based editor for human adjustments.
Its agent product page adds detail to that sequence. A customer can provide product access or connect a codebase, after which the agent drafts a script and production plan. A browser agent captures the screen recording, and an automated editing stage adds narration, zooms, callouts and styling. The company also describes GitHub-connected updates and editable drafts.
This combines several distinct technical jobs. Navigating an interface is a computer-use task; deciding what to demonstrate requires understanding the feature; turning the recording into a clear explanation requires editorial judgment. Coordinating those stages is what gives the product’s agentic approach practical meaning.
It also creates several places where review remains useful. An agent might capture a workflow successfully while choosing an example that is unrepresentative or explaining a limitation incorrectly. Real footage reduces dependence on invented interfaces, but it does not by itself guarantee an accurate script.
The announcement says teams can define reusable standards for voice, visual style, localization, motion graphics and music. Applied consistently, those settings could reduce repeated editing decisions across departments while leaving people responsible for the message and its approval.
Connecting video production to other AI workflows
Clueso’s MCP documentation describes another way to use the platform: external assistants can create, edit and manage videos through the Model Context Protocol. The company lists clients including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor, and says outputs remain editable within a shared Clueso workspace.
The documentation gives examples of workflows that begin outside a video editor, such as turning a release tracked in Linear into a feature video delivered through Slack. It also says MCP access operates within existing workspace permissions and can be revoked. These are the company’s documented capabilities and controls; they do not establish that every customer’s workflow runs without supervision.
For a business, the significance is where production begins. Rather than requiring a person to move release notes, screenshots and instructions between applications, an assistant can coordinate several tools around a defined task. That makes video one possible output of an operational workflow.
Clueso sits within the broader AI video generation market, but its emphasis here is on software demonstrations, editable production and recurring maintenance. The relevant measure of success is whether customers can publish accurate explanations and keep them accurate as their business changes.
What the Series A is intended to fund
Clueso plans to use the capital to expand its enterprise go-to-market operations, deepen the platform’s agent capabilities, broaden editing tools and connect more closely to systems holding product and company knowledge.
The maintenance ambition is particularly consequential. The release says the platform can rerun workflows and refresh videos when a product or process changes. Delivering that consistently requires identifying which assets are affected, capturing the new behavior and preserving any explanation that remains valid. A changed interface does not always mean the underlying process has changed, and an unchanged screen does not guarantee that a policy is still correct.
For customers, review time, correction rates and the share of a library kept current will be useful measures alongside production speed. The $10 million round gives Clueso resources to develop that proposition. Its longer-term test is whether automated production can reduce the backlog of business video without creating a new backlog of content that needs checking.
