Precisely Announces Unified Data Management Platform for AI-Ready Data

Precisely announced the Precisely Platform on October 6, 2026, describing it as a unified data management platform built on a single metadata and semantic foundation and designed to make enterprise data AI-ready. The platform is in preview, with general availability planned for early 2027.
Six Capability Areas on Shared Services
The platform provides six capability areas, according to the company: data integration, data quality, data governance, location intelligence, master data management, and customer communications. Precisely says enterprise data remains spread across cloud environments, data lakehouses, on-premises systems, and established platforms such as mainframe and SAP, and that the platform manages and improves data where it lives rather than requiring migration to a single data ecosystem.
Those capabilities share underlying platform services for semantics, data cataloging, observability, data pipelines, workflow, and AI management. The Precisely Platform product page names those services AI Manager, Catalog, Semantics, Observability, Pipelines, and Workflow, describing AI Manager as the service that governs AI across the platform and Semantics as supplying business meaning so terms are defined consistently.
Precisely says that because every capability consumes and contributes to the same metadata and semantic context, organizations can define rules, definitions, and policies once and apply them consistently. Embedded AI features, including AI-generated data quality rules, intelligent matching, and data enrichment recommendations, are intended to automate work that previously required specialized expertise, according to the company.
Quality Scores and Governance Controls
Precisely says the platform profiles, validates, standardizes, matches, and reconciles data in pipeline, enforces governance policies, defines business terms, and tracks lineage throughout the data lifecycle. Every data asset can carry quality and governance scores, which the company says give leaders measurable evidence of what data is ready for use and where risk remains.
“Agents don’t stop to question the data they’re given. They act on it at scale, far faster than people can catch and correct errors,” said Matt Waxman, Chief Product Officer at Precisely. He said the platform gives business leaders the visibility and evidence they need to scale AI responsibly.
Stewart Bond, Vice President of Data Intelligence and Integration Software at IDC, said in the announcement that organizations face rising pressure to operationalize AI while continuing to struggle with fragmented data environments, inconsistent governance, and limited visibility. He described the industry’s shift toward unified data intelligence platforms as reflecting the need to bring integration, quality, and governance together in a single offering.
Enrichment and Location Intelligence
The company says built-in data enrichment and location intelligence provide hundreds of pre-linked datasets covering location and business attributes. Address verification and geocoding validate, cleanse, and standardize addresses and assign coordinates to each record, while spatial analytics help users discover and visualize patterns, trends, and relationships between location-based datasets.
The product page organizes those enrichment datasets into categories that include Streets, Boundaries, Places, Properties, Risks, Audiences, and Demographics. Precisely describes the combined capabilities as creating a connected, machine-readable model of the world that AI can use to make more informed decisions and take more effective action.
Gio Assistant and New MCP Servers
Teams can reach platform capabilities through Gio, the platform’s AI assistant, which the product page describes as answering plain-language questions with answers backed by platform capabilities, alongside ready-to-use agents built into the platform. APIs, SDKs, and a command-line interface let teams apply those capabilities within the tools, workflows, and AI models they already use, the company said.
In a separate announcement the same day, Precisely introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) server support across multiple portfolio products, connecting MCP-compatible AI clients, including Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT, to Precisely capabilities without custom integrations. The company said the servers are built on the open protocol and expose existing scripts and workflows as AI-callable tools.
Initial support covers Precisely Automate for initiating and interacting with SAP automation workflows within governed business processes, Data360 for creating, inspecting, updating, and running data flows, EngageOne RapidCX for customer communications, with requests scoped to the user and recorded in an audit log, EnterWorks for natural-language search across master data, Spectrum for address verification, geocoding, and data enrichment, and Trillium for cleansing, matching, and validating records using trusted business rules. Syncsort support, covering mainframe sort optimization, troubleshooting, and generating sort, copy, and merge logic, will become available in the coming months, the company said.
Precisely said the MCP servers are available on a subscription basis to existing customers with certain select subscription products, and that servers for additional products will be made available in 2027.
Preview Terms and October 8 Event
The announcement cross-references Precisely AI Studio, a separately announced collection of ready-made apps, agents, and skills for building with AI-ready data, which the product page says draws on Precisely Platform capabilities.
Precisely will present the platform at “Precisely Now: Where Data Meets AI”, a virtual event scheduled for October 8, 2026, from 11:00am to 12:00pm EDT. Listed speakers include Precisely Chief Executive Officer Walid Abu-Hadba, Waxman, Senior Vice President of Global Services David Woods, IDC’s Bond, Charter Communications Vice President of Customer Operations Jeannine Roberts, and Lake Michigan Credit Union Vice President of Data Analytics Kevin Guyot.
