CoRover.ai and Tech Mahindra Partner to Take India-Built AI Global

CoRover.ai announced a partnership with Tech Mahindra on September 22, 2026, to deliver India-built AI solutions for enterprise, government, and societal needs in global markets, according to the announcement datelined Pune, India.

CoRover.ai is a conversational and generative AI company, and Tech Mahindra provides AI-powered digital transformation and technology consulting to enterprises across industries. According to the announcement, the partnership is intended to help organizations and governments adopt AI solutions aligned with their operational, contextual, and sovereignty requirements, with work focused on sovereign AI, enterprise AI, agentic AI, and digital public infrastructure. The companies described the collaboration as a shared commitment to advancing indigenous AI innovation through co-creation and real-world application, combining their platforms, technologies, and expertise to build solutions that address local requirements while creating relevance for customers globally.

The collaboration brings together CoRover’s BharatGPT platform and Tech Mahindra’s Project Indus and TechM Orion platforms to strengthen sovereign, citizen-centric, public sector, and enterprise AI capabilities rooted in local context, language, and operational requirements. Citing successful AI initiatives in India, the two organizations said they will work to extend those capabilities across industries and geographies while exploring opportunities in public institutions, citizen services, and enterprise transformation.

CoRover.ai Founder and CEO Ankush Sabharwal said the partnership gives the companies an opportunity to combine CoRover’s AI platforms with Tech Mahindra’s technology, engineering depth, and execution capabilities. “Together, we can turn our innovation into practical solutions that respond to local requirements and also carry relevance for customers across global markets,” Sabharwal said.

Tech Mahindra’s Project Indus and TechM Orion

Tech Mahindra describes Project Indus as its effort to build India’s own large language model from the ground up, with dual objectives of constructing a model deeply rooted in Indian culture and excelling on prevailing benchmarks. In its first phase, the project targets a model for Hindi and more than 37 dialects, with other languages and dialects to follow in phases. The model has been launched for beta testing within Tech Mahindra with 539 million parameters and 10 billion pure Hindi and dialect tokens, according to the company. The project page lists potential application areas that include a digital assistant for more than 140 million farmers covering topics such as loans and pesticides, education enablement, verticalized foundation models for industries such as media, telecom, and healthcare, preservation of dialects that are spoken but not digitized, rural finance kiosks that decipher speech in local dialects, mobile conversational systems embedded in equipment, and public healthcare information made available transparently in local dialects.

Tech Mahindra describes TechM Orion as an enterprise-grade agentic AI platform designed to move organizations from isolated AI experiments to production-ready, governed, and scalable AI adoption. According to the company, the platform supports the full AI lifecycle from agent creation and retrieval-augmented generation configuration to evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization, embeds governance through TechM VerifAI, and is backed by NVIDIA. Its stated outcome pillars include ready-to-use deployment pipelines and pre-built components, enterprise-wide interoperability across cloud and on-premises environments with MCP-based integration, end-to-end agent lifecycle management, verticalized domain-specific agents and small language models, and governance by design. Tech Mahindra lists Orion use cases spanning customer service, DevOps, human resources, finance, healthcare and life sciences, retail, supply chain, manufacturing, and communications network operations, and operates an Orion Marketplace of platform-agnostic agents.

CoRover’s BharatGPT Platform

CoRover.ai describes BharatGPT as India’s indigenous generative AI platform, available across channels in more than 14 Indian languages in video, voice, and text. The company states that BharatGPT has served more than 1 billion users, supports more than 120 languages, and reports response accuracy above 90 percent. According to CoRover, the platform is hosted on Google Cloud Platform for data sovereignty, privacy, and security, and is integrated with BHASHINI, the National Language Translation Mission under MeitY, India’s electronics and IT ministry.

CoRover lists platform features that include its own large language model, which the company calls India’s first indigenous LLM, fine-tuned for Indian users, culture, and context; a generative AI VideoBot with lip-sync across languages; deployment as ChatBot, VoiceBot, VideoBot, IVR, and WhatsApp; an inbuilt payment gateway with Aadhaar-based authentication for real-time transactions; a real-time analytics dashboard with sentiment analysis; and a custom knowledge base supporting documents, FAQs, and APIs with ERP and CRM integrations.
